27th Annual Ramalynn Mini State Hockey Tournament
Krishna Ramalingam

The 27th Annual Ramalynn Mini State Hockey Tournament was played this week in honor of the Minnesota State Hockey Tournament that also takes place this week.

Our Ramalynn students divide into the 8 schools/teams that have qualified for the actual state high school hockey tournament, and play out the games in the same order as they are played in St. Paul at the Xcel Energy Center.

As we head into this Thursday’s final games, it will be the Wayzata Trojans battling St.Thomas Academy for the consolation trophy. Hill Murray will compete against Maple Grove for third place, and Lakeville South meets Eden Prairie for the Ramalynn Mini State Tournament Championship!

In past years, parents and alumni have made it a tradition to stop by to view the three day event at Ramalynn. This year, they will be able to do so via zoom!

Ramalynn's Hockey History
14 former students of the Ramalynn Sports Program have gone on to play for their high schools in the real Minnesota State Hockey Tournament at the Xcel Energy Center in front of crowds in excess of 18,000!

Each year, the winning team of the Ramalynn Mini State Hockey Tournament gets all their team members' names engraved on the trophy with Ramalynn legends of the past like Jack Hillen, Brady Skjei, Jackson Yueill and Jordan Taylor.
